THE POSITION
Washington County Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health
Division is recruiting for an Aid and Assist Oregon State Hospital
(OSH) Court Liaison for its Behavioral Health Forensic program. The
program provides services to those court-ordered to participate in
restoration services. The primary goal will be restoring clients to
competency and improving health outcomes through collaboration with
the individual, system providers and partners, and other
organizations providing support. If you are passionate about

About the Opportunity:
This exciting position acts as a liaison to the criminal court for
criminally-committed patients at the Oregon State Hospital. This
position works closely with Oregon State Hospital, Secure
Residential Treatment Facilities, and the court on behalf of
individuals with mental health needs who have been charged with a
crime by the state court. There is a heavy emphasis on strong
collaboration across systems, expertise in coordinating
community-based services, and a working understanding of the Aid
and Assist process in Oregon.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
1. Working with the court on issues related Community
Restoration.2. Assessing OSH patients for readiness for Community
Restoration.
3. Liaising with system partners on access to care and other
resources.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the
intersection of criminal justice and behavioral health, the Aid and
Assist process, and the community behavioral health system.
Experience coordinating community-based services for
justice-involved Oregon State Hospital patients is essential. This
candidate will also have experience working within the criminal
court on behalf of defendants with intensive behavioral health
needs.
